More than good enough”
I just stopped over for one night so I could be close to the airport. The staff and room were all great. I arrived late, had a nice sleep and took their first shuttle bus to the airport the next morning. More than adequate for my purpose and would use them again.

Good place to stop-over from or to airport. Have free shuttle bus to and from airport. From airport train station, can easily get train to Amsterdam Centraal and other cities.

Pros-location, free Shuttle every 30 min., clean room, coffee machine in the room, affordable price. Cons-main road with noisy traffic. From my experience - I had to share a shuttle to the hotel wit a drunk smelly noisy guy. In the morning when I did my check out, the receptionist found out that my payment (I showed the confirmation of payment to Agoda) had not gone through and I was requested to pay again and give my bank details which was not safe. Because of that situation I was late for the bus and was promised to find a transport to the hotel but it did not happen. So had a stressful morning.

The reservation was for two nights, the service was poor, the check-in was delayed, the air conditioning was not working, and the bathroom needed maintenance. I told them and they did nothing.

A Nightmare in the Journey”
I can't imagine this is a 4-star hotel. The heater was not operated in the room on the first night. I called the counter twice to ask for assistance. The lady at the counter replied impolitely that she couldn't do anything as it was already night. It was too cold at night in the winter; end up we slept in the winter coat in the room that night. The next day I called the counter again for assistance. The lady said that her colleague would come to the room to fix the heater immediately, but after waiting for 30 minutes, no one was there. I went down to the counter and asked for a room change. As a result, they changed me to a room with a broken water pipe in the shower area that ONLY has HOT BOILING water from the showerhead. In order not to be burned and still able to enjoy our holiday, we can only wipe our bodies with a towel moistened with hot water. There are many hotels of the same price nearby. For your wonderful holiday, please think twice if you consider booking this hotel.

The room given to me was unmade, had T shirt, unfinished wine in the fridge, ladies under wear, opened toiletries etc. If there is options to submit pictures, I will do it here

Good location, terrible condition”
Perhaps due to covid staff shortage the property is in poor condition. My room had not been properly cleaned, there were trays in the hallway, etc. Location is very good, bus service to airport very good.

Room lights too dim at night. Room doesn’t even come with a jug kettle to boil hot water. It’s an old hotel.

Convenient hotel near Schipol airport.”
We stayed at the Bastion hotel for one night while awaiting our flight the next morning. The hotel is conveniently only about 5 minutes from the airport and the hotel has a courtesy bus that picks up and drops off every half hour. Our room was very comfortable and clean and check in was quick. The hotel has a restaurant and there is another hotel just metres away that also has a very nice restaurant and a third option there is a McDonalds next door to the Bastion. If I had one very small complaint it would be that the swimming pool was too cool for swimming in the winter time. Highly recommend this hotel.

Big room, comfortable environment”
I stayed in a twin room for two nights and the room was spacious. The bathroom was nice, even there were two washbasins for us. I stayed here for two nights. It took 40 minutes from the hotel to the airport then to the city centre (Amsterdam Centraal). I bought the 3-day Amsterdam and regional travel ticket so that the total cost is reasonable. The hotel offered each guest one drink (wine, coffee, soda, soft drinks) for free. Also, you can go to the swimming pool and gym. The breakfast is 14euro per person but I didn't try. There is a McDonald next to the hotel. Every 30 minutes there is a free hotel bus from the hotel to the airport. The bus usually was on time. Overall, it is worth to stay here!

Convenient clean and good facilities.”
Stayed here for three days, not because of the airport, but because I had some things to do around Amsterdam, and with a (rental) car I found it very convenient ; parking at the hotel, clean rooms, efficient staff, room- tv with a range of channels, a good restaurant, a mcDonalds next door for a snack, and I enjoyed the pool very much for a daily swim ! Without own transportation, this can be a bit out of the way of Amsterdam, but with the shuttle to the Airport and the price / quality level, it's absolutely recommendable, I will be back.

good overnight stop in Amsterdam if you just need to rest and catch a plane in the morning. free shuttle bus to and from airport runs on the half hour. staff friendly and helped me print out boarding pass from computer, room quiet and quite comfortable, friendly bar in lobby..building design and interior standard, not interesting. downside, neighborhood nothing, can't go out and too far from central town to enjoy Amsterdam. very good if this is all you need at a good price. with more time i would like to see a little of Amsterdam. to get downtown you really need to go back to the airport on the shuttle bus and take a train to town, not too late as shuttle stops at 11:30 I think. with more time I might book in town.

Do not be fooled that just because this hotel is near the airport, it is not accessible to centre. There is airport shuttle for free and you can get to the centre city in 20min. From the airport you can also access the tulip festival. There is Macdonald next to the hotel if you get hungry at night. Room is big, clean and very comfortable. Kudos to Bastion!

Short Layover Stay”
Stayed 1 night on a layover. It is close to airport and has free shuttle service to and from the Airport. The room was very clean but a little small if staying a long time but fine for shorter stays like ours. Bed was very comfortable. Room was very quiet even though the hotel is close to the airport. Can not comment on travel to downtown Amsterdam as it was raining and windy. Other than hotels I did not see much else around. The hotel has a swimming pool and gym and restaurant that we did not use.

We used this hotel for our one-week visit to Amsterdam and its surrounding attractions. It turned out to be an excellent choice mainly due to hotel's free and on-time shuttle service to the Schiphol airport, and the airport seemed to be a better public transportation gateway than the Amsterdam Centraal.

If you prefer a quite place this is the place to be... the best thing is the shuttle bus that goes to the airport every 30mins... thats why it was so handy to pick this hotel... if you don’t like the hustle and bustle of the city in the late evening... this is the place to be... for getting a goodnight sleep... we were in the Amsterdam centrum at 1-10pm and thats enough for us to go for city sightseeing bus and boat tour then walk around to dine and enjoy the city... our four day trip was relaxing... and still able to see all the places to see...

Recent renovated, very clean and nice hotel”
I'm very happy of this hotel while I get a special offer which is very good prices and the Hotel are recently renovated, very clean, comfortable and the room size are quite big. the hotel do provide shuttle bus to and from airport every 30min from early morning to midnight. transport time from hotel to airport are about 10min which is very convenient. At first I though stay at a hotel which a little far from downtown will be very inconvenient but during my stay, I found that airport do have a lot of restaurant and shop, so I used to go to airport for my breakfast and get some snack while I'm back to hotel during evening which make my stay very easy and convinient.

Clean, affordable, easy access to and from airport. Hotel staff were also incredibly helpful in directing me toward how to get to Amsterdam central (city). As a relatively novice traveler, who was travelining solo for the first time in Europe, this helped alleviate some of my concerns/fears immensely. Especially given their fluency in English. Great hotel!

Little Gem of a Hotel”
Staff were excellent our entire stay, rooms spotless and very impressive for how little you pay for them. Shuttle Bus from airport to front door runs between 6am and 11:30pm which is incredibly useful as train for getting to Amsterdam Centraal is from the airport. Would definitely use again!
