Things I like

Very cosy and clean. Comfy beds and well equipped. The Wii was a great addition to keep the family entertained. A real home from home. Great value for money in a central but quiet location and having spacious accommodation with good sized rooms. Struggled to find street parking nearby on the night we arrived but apart from that it was a good find with clear communication and information from the host Would have been great to stay for longer and will look forward to returning to Bracken Crag on our next trip to the Lakes.

Things I don’t like

Nothing I didn't like and it more than met my expectations for a comfortable and convenient stay in Bowness.

Great stay in the heart of the Lake District”

Things I like

The property was in a great location, 5 min walk from lake Windermere. Instructions for check in and check out were clear and easy to follow so we had no issues whatsoever. Beds were comfortable and the place has all the facilities we needed.

Things I like

Perfect location for us, quiet and private despite being an apartment. Bedrooms quiet and beds very comfortable indeed. Really clean and tidy too.

Things I don’t like

Dishwasher top basket was broken when we arrived - needs new wheels to slide in and out I think. Also bathroom window wouldn’t open and some of the furnishings are maybe a bit dated but that’s all. Our host was absolutely brilliant though so more than makes up for any gripes, went out of her way to get us back in when we managed to lock ourselves out and made a stressful situation for us a breeze. 110% rating for Manda :-)

A fantastic property in a fantastic location.”

Things I like

Perfect location to explore the local area. Just minutes from the water edge, bars and restaurants. The space in the house (upper 2 floors) was perfect for the 5 of us as. The lounge was very comfortable with a decent tv, useful when, the weather got a bit too wet. The amenities within the kitchen are great and it felt like a home from home. We took our 5 month old cocker spaniel and she also settled well.

Things I don’t like

Just a little more toilet roll on hand and maybe complimentary tea/coffee would have been nice. The bedrooms are in the roof space and it was a tad difficult to get them warm even with the heating on a while. Overnight, the temperatures dropped thus upon waking we felt a tad cold. The lower rooms, lounge/kitchen, were more than comfortable once the heating kicked in. I would mention taking warm PJ's and a house coat if able.
