Great Stay with Awesome hospitality!”
Pros - Great Stay for the couple, family and even for business travels - Mall road is just nearby close to the proximity of 1-2 km walking distance - Ample Parking Space for every kind of vehicle traveler too. - Well educated and mannered staff - Great hospitality, cleanliness and sufficient room space in our case - Well, connected to the main road and near to victoria tunnel landmark. - Food quality is completely justified at the price they offer. Must go for the buffet. - The big in-house restaurant can easily accommodate close to 100 people. - Valet parking and 24*7 available staff for help and assistance. Cons - Only problem we had during our stay is we found rooms quite under-ventilated which makes us feel choked and suffocated sometimes. I would say ask the hotel about the kind of room they are offering whether they have balconies or proper ventilation which can make your stay more joyful.

Nice hotel with all amenities. Spacious rooms with great view of forest. Staffs are so humble and cooperative. Location is 1 km far from mall road which takes 20 minutes by walk. Breakfast is superb. Overall great experience in Royal Retreat.

Excellent hotel. Very good location with parking facility, which is rare in Shimla. Walking distance from Mall road. Excellent service from all staff of hotel. Few drawbacks are hotel's restaurant gets closed at 10 PM and the walking connectivity to Mall road is too stiff. We haven't any problem ,but people with physically unfitness might have problems.

Points to be noted:- every time you had to ask for cups and glasses in the room Asking for bath towel which wasn't kept in the bathroom after cleaning the room. Travel desk is not upto the mark. He needs lot of training and way to handle the customer this is where they are lacking. Rest I would recommend food is good staff is welcoming. Hotel is neat and clean. Must try this property. You can easily walk down to hotel from lower mall road and will enjoy the site scenes and cold Breeze. Trainees are really good specially trainee Gurpreet very helpful and active girl. Always ready to help and serve its guest. God bless her.

Everything was fine except hotel parking staff was very disgusting as my car got stuck in hotel parking for an hour due to non availability of keys from other customers. So i would say if you want to park then take a upper parking instead on slope.

Good property near Victory Tunnel ”
Hotel is located near victory tunnel (2-3 minutes of walking distance) and 2 kms from Mall road lift /parking (City centre). Hotel is having restuarant which is quite good. Restuarant staff gives good service. Housekeeping needs to be improved. Travel desk is helpful in moving around locally. Hotel entrance is after stiff ramp. If you have a car then no issue but otherwise for senior people its difficult to climb up or down. Overall experience was good. Shimla was quite hot during the day time in June.
