“great location but old facility”
My son and I loved the brown stone building and the great location. We particularly enjoyed walking in the nearby Central Park. It is an old building with old facilities, though. The door is heavy and tight, and you need to push it open. We took some time to figure it out when we first arrived. On the third day, however, the lock was broken and we were locked out for more than two hours before the locksmith came and replaced a new cylinder. We thus missed a dinner date and a show!The person responsible for renting this apartment to us seemed to be upset because the replacement cost about $350. She suspected that it was due to our not knowing how to handle the lock! That was a basic and simple lock! This experience, of couse, has impaired the enjoyment of our stay.
