"Great location, clean, funky room. Only wish they'd had a kettle in the room, yes you can go downstairs but you're not going to trundle downstairs for a cuppa early morning in your PJs to bring up to get ready with! All in all good hotel and would stay again!"

"Breakfast was good, but not impressed by the evening meal. But if you are wanting a decent well priced, fairly central location with clean rooms and decent whisky in the bar, this is the place for you. My wife and I came for the Christmas fair, and will definitely be staying at the Brittania Hotel in Edinburgh again."

"Great! Simply Great for an affordable price! Hotel management knows their differences compared to other city hotels, and they are trying their best to cover up those differences. The room was wonderful with all the amenities provided with regard to its price. Layout of the room was good too, not too narrow, and the wide bathroom. Also the view from the windows was open and freshing. Making you feel that you are in Edinburgh. Good Wi-Fi as well. Breakfast is same in every and each hotel, traditional scottish. Lifts were reliable and quick. It might seem a little further up the city centre compared to others but actually just 7 mins walk and we were on The mile end. Car parking is limited, but the street is available until 8:30 in the mornings. Only few stains in the bathtub is the negative thing we could say. The toileteries were wonderful btw. I wouldn't think for a minute if I 'd go to Edinburgh again. "

Bus right outside hotel front door, into Edinburgh city centre, first class breakfast each morning, something for everyone, from cereal to a full cooked. Would recommend if staying in Edinburgh."

"We found this Hotel to be very convenient for our purposes. The Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Any extra items i.e. towels coffee etc. were obtained from the desk without any problem. The rooms were very clean and serviced every day. As it was very hot and no A/C in room, it became a bit uncomfortable to sit in the room for any length of time. I suppose it was unusually hot for Edinburgh, so couldn't be helped. The only problem with room was the total lack of drawer space, but apart from that, perfectly adequate. It is a very conveniently placed hotel within a few minutes walk of most amenities and only 5 minutes walk to Princes Street. Overall we had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. "
