El Calafate hotels & accommodations

Rooms are small but not as small as Tokyo or NYC hotels. Rooms are well appointed and have tv, good lighting, heating ( if not a little stuffy). Shampoo, conditioner and soap provided along with good towels. Continental breakfast provided included: juice, tea/coffee,bread, toast, fruit, fruit salad and pastries. Staff were obliging, including organising taxis and airlin...

We stayed at the separate house next to the main building, which gives privacy. The staff were helpful and courteous, especially Patricio who helped us carry our heavy luggage to the house and give us recommendations on where to go. Would stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on our trip to El Calafate. The hotel is located a bit out of town so you will need a car to access it or use taxis for transport. However, I think it is worth it. The hotel is located on a hill and you have great views to the lake. The garden is beautiful and well maintained too. We really liked our room! Bed was really comfortabl...

whilst this may not be the most stylish or fancy hotel in el calafate, it is a good bet for the traveller who wants a comfortable stay in a modern hotel very close to the shops. rooms are spacious and service is simple and professional including a nice 'turn-down' service with free chocolates... there's a spa too (and massage service) but we didn't have time for ...

We stayed at a private double room with a big and comfortable bed. Very warm inside the room with the heat on. Room is clean. Breakfast is good. Location is good for those using the bus terminal, walking distance. A little bit far from the town Centro but still manageable on foot. Staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. P.S. the hotel also has apartments whi...

It's a pretty hotel at a first glance and the location is only 2 blocks from main street. but the room is small, old, very dry.. they are on the street level so without curtain, you can be seen, also I was able to hear everything outside. Average breakfast. some staff were friendly.

Great location, 5 min walk to the center and 5 min walk to bus station. The place was really clean, new, trendy and spacious. Separate plug and light for each bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they even call to confirm the airport pick up for me. If you’re looking for a place to stay in Calafate, this hostel is a great choice.

Price is not expensive, I use SGD 180 around to book 2 night double room... Staff is nice, can solve my inquiry, e.g. local tour, foreign exchange, etc... Good location, go to main street around 5 mins and supermarket is 10-15 mins, depend which supermarket you want to go....

It’s a very nice hotel, with very clean and spacious room. All the stuff works well in the room. Staff are nice and helpful, even helped us for an early breakfast as we needed to go on to a tour before the breakfast time starts. The only down side is it’s a little distance away from the downtown area, but still in walkable distance. Overall, very nice hotel. Would reco...

hotel is nice decorated and clean. nearby downtown with free shuttle bus service. it is nearby airport and up on the hill which could see the city and lake view in el calafate. i probably will choose this hotel again if i go to el calafate again.

I've never had such a magnificent view from a hotel room as this one. Snow capped mountains and a lake with geese and flamingoes. The view from the breakfast room was just as good. The hotel is new, on a hill, 8 blocks away from the centre/bus station. Taxi was very cheap from town centre for those wanting some night life etc. Walk into town, approx. 20 minutes. The ...

Coming from Asia, we arrived early in the morning, excited but exhausted. Noellia at the reception was just so understanding and so helpful. She made the check in process so easy, going out of her way to provide us an early check in, and even offered us free coffee and breakfast. Though the hotel is not located in the center of town, it still offers the best balance be...

This hotel is beautifully located with rooms overlooking the lake. It is a bit out of the way from the main town centre so you may need transport. There is free parking and reliable WiFi. simple room but good location one street behind the main street where shopping, supermarket, travel agent, restaurant can be found 20 minutes walk to bird park which is a good place in the town bus terminal is just 2 blocks away (5 mins walk) where bus go to glacier and other cities

This place was so cute (dare I say romantic) and had a great BnB feel. Good breakfast in the morning too. WiFi worked well in the room and the shower was nice and hot. The location is a little out of the way, but town was still less than a 1mile walk. I'm really happy we stayed here and would do so again if we are ever back in El Calafate.

I knew this reservation was a mistake when I was the last one dropped off by the airport shuttle bus. It might be ok if you have your own car, but it is a LONG 30-35 minute walk to town, even longer if you have luggage, or AR85/US$7 taxi.. The owner insisted on charging the 19% tax, which other hostels did not do. Breakfast was not great. I cancelled my third night her...

We stayed just over night. The room was nice but small, specially the bathroom that was minimal and not well planned. The bed was confortable. There was a safebox in the room. Across the road from tourist information center before going into the heart of town. We had a rental car so made it easy to get around without the worry of where to park. Lar Aike is set back from a bay on lake Argentina with views of the lake & the flocks of flamingos that gather there. It's in a quiet spot around 10-15mins walk into the main part of El Calafate. The walk is along a well lit pavement & main road so not a difficult walk & very accessible. The hotel is a 3 star, it's essentially a wooden lodge, if you're looking for a ...
Cheap places to stay in El Calafate

I stayed two nights in this hostel and can definitely recommend it. Everything was clean all the time. The kitchen has a lot of equipment, my bed was comfortable and the room very big. In case I will be again in El Calafate I will ask to stay there again. Muchas gracias!

It is a shame that they charge the 21% tax to everyone, including foreigners. I stayed twice in this guesthouse, the first time I was lucky to get availability for a twin room which was very nice, big and comfortable, with a very clean and big bathroom with bathtub. My second stay was in a 6 bed dorm which was probably the worst dorm of my stay in Argentina & Chile - t...

I thought I was pretty terrible value for money by Argentinian standards. The room was unpleasant and unclean. Breakfast was appalling (coffee, cheap bread and jam) by the standard of other places we have stayed (often for cheaper prices). We didn't use the kitchen. All in all it was a pretty bad place to stay.

We totally enjoyed our stay here. The bed was comfortable, room and bathroom very clean. Great kitchen which we used to cook breakfasts. Nice hot shower. And we were greeted nicely and helped with everything we needed. And all for s great price too!

We stayed at the separate house next to the main building, which gives privacy. The staff were helpful and courteous, especially Patricio who helped us carry our heavy luggage to the house and give us recommendations on where to go. Would stay here again.

The Hostel Del Glaciar Pioneros is about a 15 minute walk from the bus station, and about 10 minutes from the main town. The Hostel staff are very accommodating and gave some great advice reagrding tours and things to do. We booked the Glacier boat tour with the Hostel and had a fantastic time!

We enjoyed it a lot. It is very close to the center of El Calafate. The rooms and facilities are very clean and well looked after. The free breakfast in the morning is very nice too. Plenty of coffee and some rolls. The owner is taking care of the place. Small downside, payment cash only. As it is hard to get cash in El Calafate, paypal will be setup soon, the owner sa...

The customer service here was a refreshing change from the hotels in torres del paine. We so much loved the place that when we decided to extend our trip, of course we never looked at other hotel, we were happy there mostly because of the very, very nice lady who runs the hotel. We didn't mind not having 5 star because when a small hotel is so clean and comfortable and cute in the decoration, we feel its better than 5 star hotel where they don't give you...

Paola, the owner, was extremely nice, and very helpful. She gave helpful information about tours and where to book them, and went above and beyond with helping us get a taxi of our preference. Location amazing - 5-8 minutes across a bridge and you're in the middle of town. Great restaurant across the street, within 3 minutes of food, convenience store, etc. Wifi in r...

I have been traveling the world for the past few years and stayed in countless hotels and AirBnB rooms. I have never met a more helpful and courteous host than Franco. Well thought out hostel and private room lodging. We stayed in a double room for one night so as to be close to the bus station (which is about 2 minutes walk away).
