Kraków hotels & accommodations

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of September. It's about a 2km (20 minute walk) to the centre of Krakow. I asked for and was given a quiet room (there is a tramline at the front of the hotel) at the back overlooking the car park. There was no night time noise from other guests. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. I asked for another p...

This hotel is ideally situated for both the Jewish Quarter and the main old town as Krakow. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the toilet/shower area was huge and well fitted out. The breakfast was included and was not disappointed, both hot and continental food and plenty of it. There is a happy hour in the bar from 16:100 to 18:00 hrs, prices are about the same as you w...

The reception, restaurant and fitness centre staff were very helpful and efficient. The room was clean and the restaurant food very good. The gym and pool facilities were really what made the hotel value for money. Unfortunately on 2 of our 6 days the room had not been made up, resulting in quick, superficial make-overs when we reported the matter. Although the h...

This is the perfect place to stay in Kraków. Location is perfect, on site parking is relatively easy, and breakfast is delicious and very reasonably priced. The only downside was that my rooms air-conditioner broke during my last two days at the hotel. But the staff brought in a fan and provided me with plenty of compensation for the inconvenience, and without me ask...

We arrived into Krakow by train and it was easy to walk to the hotel. Easy check in and we liked our room. We soon found that the location of the hotel is super convenient as the old town and all it's interesting sights are just a short walk away. We didn't pay for the hotel breakfast so we don't know how the breakfast spread is. The toiletries are in small bottles, wh...

First during check in I had lots of luggage there was no ready to help me to bring the luggage to my room During my stay I asked to post a letter and I paid for it but during check out they want me to pay it again inspite me telling the m I already paid until I showed the receipt they didn't believe which made me feel really bad as amount was just 20 zlotys And then du...

This was our second time to this hotel as the staff are very friendly, the room was lovely with a big comfy bed and the breakfast is good. As I love Krakow and its history I would definitely book again. The Jewish Quarter is just around the corner of the hotel with all its lovely restaurants and funky bars. The main square of Krakow is a 15 minute walk.

The reception staffs are so nice and helpful! They helped me solve a lot of problems, e.g. tickets and transport. Their instruction is very clear, so that I can find the transport easily. They are very polite and nice, making customers feel very happy. I have contacted the hotel several time asking questions, and the response is very quick and they are willing to help ...

We stayed for three nights at this amazing hotel. Great location and value for money! 15-20 mins with taxi from the airport (89 zloty). We booked the deluxe room with jacuzzi for 650 NOK/night (about 325 zloty). Would recommend floor 4, as we stayed at 408. Only downside was the unstable WiFi which did not work properly, but the staff were very helpful and friendly. Th...

This apartment feels like a glorified hostel. There is very little light in the common areas and the bathrooms have poorly fitted showers. You are required to check in at the sister hostel in town. So if you have heavy luggage I would avoid this. It requires a 15 minute walk there and back as it’s in the old town where taxis can’t take you. The room itself was large ...

Great location. A little difficult to find at first as it is a restaurant (with different name) and hotel but once you know its easy. Room was very clean and surprisingly large, quite functional. Reasonably quiet from market square noise but can hear a little. Staff were very helpful. Has a small (slow) lift to assist with luggage so dont have to walk stairs. Good bat...

Although the address given to us was initially incorrect (we were given the address of the landlord's agency office instead and had to make a detour), the studio apartment was overall satisfactory - comfortable sofa bed, private bathroom and kitchen facilities, and about 10 minutes' walk to the old town. Only catch is that the apartment is within an old residential bui...

Had a pleasant stay at Hilton Garden Inn Krakow. Very close to Ice Krakow conference building (about 5min walk) and its walking distance (~15min) from restaurants and Wawel Royal Castle. The room is very clean and daily housekeeping provided. Thank you to all staff at the hotel!

Hotel staff have been excellent throughout our entire stay making us so welcome. Complimentary breakfast was fantastic with a huge range of options to suit all dietary needs. Great fitness suite on offer for guests to use. Very close to a main tram line taking you into the Old Town within 10 minutes. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located a little off the old city centre of Krakow. It will take a 15 min cab drive to get there (€7/€8). The hotel is a little run down and could use some repairs here and there. The rooms are in good condition though and the staff is very friendly. The hotel has a nice swimming poll and advertises with an inhouse spa, though this can be only be arranged ...

The apartment is located close to the river, nearby the castle. Less than 10 minutes walk and you can visit this amazing place, don't miss it! The center of the city is also really not far, no need to take the tram or the bus, just walk, it worths it. The apartment itself is brilliant: it's perfectly clean, bright, the bed is comfy, the bathroom is neat and practical, ...

Great location. We thought we were getting a one bedroom ( expect door between sofa bed and main bed) but actual really just a studio because all open. Lift broke down two days in a row. There is a 4 metre stud so more like climbing 6 stories to get to fourth floor by stair and getting luggage down with no lift was hard work. Breakfast supplied by little cafe across th...

The apartments are fantastic. Clean, modern and in a great place, 5 minutes walk from Krakow square. There's a supermarket next to the apartments and micro brewery at the end of the street (as turning left when leaving the apartment) is a great place to have a drink and food. The bed and pillows were amazing. Didn't want to leave to be far. For anyone who stays at th...

Stepping through the threshold we were excited to see the Poets room we had booked. The pictures simply don't do it justice. The apartment is amazing. The room is extremely well furnished with 1920s pieces that look like they're brand new. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to make your own light breakfast/lunch. The staff are the real highlight fo...

It seemed a little expensive to stay at this 3star hotel, but I realized it's not like that because the hotel deserves that price with its lovely design, delicate care, and humble but good food. Felt like stay at my Polish friend's home and wanna visit there again. It was even better than Novotel Centrum where I stayed before getting to Wawel. Easy access to main squar...

Pleasant. my girlfriend and I stayed in the doubles flats down the street. Turned out to be our best bang for the buck on this trip. The breakfast is kinda sad though, and I would hesitate about staying in the dorms...a lot of young drunk kids, which I think would be annoying (as a 25 y/o)
Cheap places to stay in Kraków

hostel u kmity is peaceful, safe, owner friendly and kind. The accommodation is in a good location. Near restaurant near tourist attraction Near minimart You can ask for everything from the host. I'm impressed here I would like to come back here again if I have a chance. from Vimonchat C. (Thailand)

Booked 2 nights but stayed for 4. Great value and a lovely comfortable apartment. Not big so not many guests. The manager lives there and the bathrooms are clean and there is a fully equipped kitchen and big fridge. Good lockers and bedding provided. 10-15 mins walk to central square and tram 50 mets away. 5 min cycle into town. Very quiet and good wifi. Happily stay a...

It was great staying in Krakow. Very clean and staff are very helpful. I surely recommend you stay the hostel. But I think the hostel is a little far from central than other hostels. Also, it is really peaceful, so if you want to hang out or go nightclub with travelers, you would stay at anohter hostel. However, it is really nice.

My stay was awesome... The staff were incredibly helpful getting me a ticket to auschwitz, giving me directions around town, and they had helpful insight for online booking of future travels. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. Replace a very nice common area, and they put out a well-balanced meal inThe place had a very nice common area, and they put out a ...

Cheap and nice hostel in a very good location. I booked a triple room with bathroom. It was located on the underground floor. The room was super clean. The staffs were very helpful. There is no towel and toiletries provided. You have to pay 3 PLN for 1 towel (still cheap anyway)

A good, cheap and quiet option. Dream Hostel has only one 5-bed dormitory plus a few private rooms. There are therefor usually very few travelers there. I visisted in the high season and shared the room with only one other guest. The dormitory room is spacious and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is very big and has a bath tub. No breakfast provided but many opti...

I am so glad that I chanced upon Bubble Hostel to stay in during my visit to Krakow. Liked it so much that I came back after my trip to Zakopane. This hostel is pretty new and well maintained. Very conveniently located, only a short walk from the main train/bus station and also to the Old Town. I loved how cosy and comfortable the beds/duvets were. Such an important t...

Location is a little bit far form the old town Room was old but clean, however its really small(I stay in a twin room but still small for 1) Bathroom is nice and clean The only issue i got was the wifi. I stay 3 days but only at the last night get the connection.

The private room we stayed in was in a different building from the reception and it was facing a busy intersection with traffic/tram noise. There was a fridge in the room but there was someone's food in it.. One set of blinds was missing parts so it did not block all the outside light. The room was not ready by the check in time so we had to wait a while.

I was welcomed by a very friendly staff at the reception. He was very helpful as he voluntarily introduced the famous local attractions and restaurants to me. He even helped me search for the bus schedule to and from Wieliczka Salt Mine. Given its convenient location and superb hospitality, I would definitely stay in this hostel if I visit Krakow for one more time.

Nice quiet hotel with free parking next to transit. Its wasn't to far to downtown by bus but take note that the bus stops running at around 11:00pm. The rooms were average and the beds were ok. No A/C but a good size window. The breakfast was better than average, with fresh strawberries one morning.

On a review I read before going someone said the beds were hard, yes they were fairly hard. Electric sockets= you need a thin necked adaptor as the wall socket has a (male) stud and a normal full necked British type plug will not fit, I saw that the plug to the kettle had a (female) extra pin hole. Was surprised to find only a hand towel in the bathroom, later enquirie...

We would really recommend you stay here if you ever want to visit Krakow. Our room was great, double bed sofa and a small kitchenette. Best view and location of the Old town main square - Rynek Glowny. All amenities on doorstep of hotel. Restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, shopping, markets ...and walking distance to all major tourist attractions. Lovely Swedish style breakfast - must try the baked eggs with bacon!! Friendly and helpful staff at reception - although 1 particular staff member should ...

The best thing about this hotel is its prime location right inbetween Kazimierz (the old Jewish district) and the central market in Old Town. It has a lovely breakfast and there is also a little Italian garden restaurant outside in the courtyard with delicious food.

High ceiling and well functional designed room. The breakfast area is at the old cellar which is unique and beautiful. WiFi connection was good and staff are really helpful when I asked for extra pillow as the pillow was a bit soft for my liking. Definitely would love to stay here again next time I’m in Krakow. Centralized in old city and only 20 mins slow walk to Kra...

It is extremely disappointing that the winter in Krakow is full of smog. The classic road facing the main road inevitably received all the smog. Although the staff wanted to be helpful and provided us a humiliator, it did not help indeed. The hotel had no spare room at that night and we unwillingly slept in the bathroom.

This is a very standard hotel with basic rooms, definetely not a 4 star booking hotel. Breakfast was appallingly bad. Poor quality products, 2 day old croissants, Nescafe instead of real coffee, and juices made of concentrated juice mixed with tap water, after which I suffered from food poisoning. When I complained to the very junior manager, she displayed no empathy...

I have previously posted a review but this popped up on my Agoda account so thought I would do another...because the apartment and owner Dagmara are lovely. Close to ATM and a supermarket, and booked tours picked us up from the front door. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. IF you don't stay here YOUR CRAZY!!!

Hotel was very good on arrival, it was my sister's 30th Birthday and they had upgraded our room to the Executive Suite. Receptionist staff could have a been a little more helpful at times. One morning we had asked for a plaster, we was told there wasn't any available. We also booked to go to Auschwitz through the hotel. We booked a private transfer and requested to be ...

As I am travel by myself and I know there will be some inconvenient to staying in apartment rather then a hotel. However, I feel extremely satisfied during my staying in K4 Aparthotel . The staff were all super friendly and helpful. The communal areas of the hotel are relaxed with lots of comfy sofas and tasteful decoration... art books and people sitting about having coffee and reading. These apartments are very near to all sites with a young and enthusiastic staff. It is meticulously clean, very modern with washing machine, dishwasher and a kitchen that allows eating in possible. Totally would stay here again on a return trip to Krakow!
Luxury hotels in Kraków

You couldn't find a more handy location. Everything breakfast was delicious and a really good choice - I had to force myself not to eat more as I wanted to save room for other great Polish food later. Not exactly what’s described. It wasn’t actually 2 bedroom apartment as one bedroom was perfect, easy acces, double bed, tv and wardrobe. But other room was not actually a room... it was a place on the attick loft with a double mattress put on the floor. There was no bed, no wardrobe or anything else. Just low cilit with a roof windows. We stayed only for one night ...

Stayed in different apartment from one in picture. 5star apartment absolutely brilliant and in a nice quiet street off bustling square round corner. Would recommend this place to anyone for both prices excellent apartment and great staff. Would love to return to same place

It's very beautiful city. I can see snow city. I went to Auschwitz and Bilkenau and Wieliczka. All point is must to go! It's very Good.
Go to zakopane, its beautiful. Salt mine was a bit too draggy but interesting. Must visit WWII camp sites!
Historical city with beautiful buildings, castles, and fascinating night scenery. The only shortcoming is the historical spots provide little or no english information for non Polish.
It is the cultural centre of Poland. I would take more more than a day for amazing Salt Mine tour. I couldn't imagine how Polish engineers and scientists could have done it centuries ago.
A lovely old city with so many old places and buildings to see. Soak up the atmosphere and enjoy everything that the city has to offer.
Krakow would have to be one of the most awesome cities I have ever visited. It's hard to explain in words just how charming this place is.
Cracow is definitely a great place to visit. Not only are the old city and Jewish district full of beautiful and interesting places to enjoy (small shops, cultural buidings, beautiful cafes, restaurants) but the surroundings are also worthwhile to visit, especially three touristic spots (Auschwitz, The salt mine and Nowa Huta).
This is the second time I've been to Krakow and absolutely love it. It's a great city to visit if you like history, old buildings, churches etc.
Krakow is a must go if you come to Poland. Its old town is one of the most beautiful in Europe, with a life and soul of its own.
It has become rather crowded with tourists, so doing anything in English is not a problem. Food is excellent and do try their local delicacies.
Stay longer in Krakow as you can visit the salt mine as well as Auschwitz. We joined the local tour and the coach brought us to the point, then the guides took over.
Beautiful historical city that rivals Prague or Salzburg. Visit Frania Cafe (on web) to wash your clothes and have a beer.

Discover the Enchantment of Kraków Poland
Kraków, Poland's historic gem, offers a captivating blend of rich history, vibrant culture, and stunning architecture that enchants visitors at every turn. This city, once the royal capital of Poland, is steeped in tales of kings, queens, and legends that echo through its cobblestone streets. As you stroll through the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you'll be greeted by the magnificent Wawel Castle, a symbol of Polish heritage, and the bustling Rynek Główny, which is one of the largest medieval town squares in Europe. The architecture here is a feast for the eyes, with Gothic spires, Renaissance façades, and Baroque buildings that tell the story of Kraków's illustrious past.
The city is alive with cultural vibrancy, from its lively street performances to the rich tapestry of museums and galleries. Art lovers will find solace in the National Museum, which houses an impressive collection of Polish art, while history buffs can explore the poignant exhibits at Oskar Schindler's Enamel Factory. As the sun sets, the city transforms into a lively hub of activity, with quaint cafes and bars that invite you to unwind and soak in the local atmosphere. Whether you're sipping coffee in a charming courtyard or enjoying a traditional Polish meal, Kraków promises an experience that lingers long after you leave.
Best Times to Experience Kraków's Charm
Timing your visit to Kraków can significantly enhance your experience, as each season brings its own unique charm. The spring months of April to June are particularly delightful, with blooming flowers and mild temperatures creating a picturesque backdrop for exploring the city. During this time, you can enjoy various local festivals, including the Kraków Film Festival and the Wianki Festival, where traditional music and vibrant celebrations fill the air.
Summer, from July to August, is the peak tourist season, attracting visitors from around the globe. The city buzzes with energy, and outdoor events abound, making it an ideal time for those who thrive in lively atmospheres. However, be prepared for larger crowds and higher accommodation prices. If you prefer a quieter experience, consider visiting in the fall (September to November), when the foliage transforms the city into a canvas of warm colors, and the weather remains pleasant for sightseeing. Winter, particularly December, offers a magical ambiance with festive Christmas markets, where you can indulge in local treats and shop for unique gifts.
Travel Tips for an Unforgettable Kraków Adventure
To make the most of your Kraków adventure, it's helpful to familiarize yourself with some essential travel tips. First, understanding local customs is key to immersing yourself in the culture. Poles are known for their hospitality, so a friendly greeting with a smile goes a long way. When dining, it's customary to wait for the host to start the meal before digging in, and saying smacznego (bon appétit) is a nice touch. Currency-wise, the Polish złoty (PLN) is the official currency, and while many places accept credit cards, it's wise to carry some cash for smaller establishments and markets.
Safety is generally not a concern in Kraków, but it's always prudent to remain aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas. Keep your belongings secure and avoid displaying valuables openly. Public transport is efficient and affordable, making it easy to navigate the city. Trams and buses are the primary modes of transport, and purchasing a ticket in advance is recommended to avoid fines. Lastly, consider downloading a translation app to help with any language barriers, as not everyone speaks English fluently. With these tips in hand, you're well on your way to a memorable experience in Kraków!

This picturesque lake, surrounded by cliffs, is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or simply enjoying a picnic. Exploring the castle grounds allows you to soak in the rich history and architectural beauty that defines Kraków.
