“Clean Hotel and Great location”
On arrival at the hotel it was clean and tidy and the receptionist was polite, quick and efficient at checking us in. However, as someone has worked in management of hotels to see the back office reception door open with staff eating and feet up, then proceed to walk into reception with a handful of crisps eating while guest were around I found it unprofessional and not a great first impression. Later we came to order some drinks and were pointed to a fridge and the same staff member as earlier was quite matter of fact and not friendly. After I paid I had to ask for a glass with ice and she reacted as if it was as an inconvenience. I would have expected her to ask in the first instance. That evening when coming back in the staff member who was cleaning was polite and efficient and helped answer our questions, a complete contrast and the hotel was spotless. Breakfast is great, unfortunately we came down at a busy time so obviously had to wait for a table but the staff were quick and efficient and polite. The room was comfortable, large and really clean and our room was serviced excellently the next day. The hotel is quiet but an easy walk into the city.
