"The experience to stay at Damai Beach Resort is awesome. It's a huge resort with about 10 variety of room types, from hilltop luxurious suite to beach side chalet. It is actually located at Santubong, about 45 minutes drive from Kuching town. The resort provides very cheap shuttle service to and from Grand Magrarita, RM20 for return shuttle. The resort surrounded by Mount Santubong, and it has long beach faces South China Sea. There are two restaurants inside the resort, highly recommends "Fishermen's Catch Restaurant", yummy! The price is very reasonable. The "Sarawak Cultural Village" is just 5 minutes walking distance, good place to explore native Iban culture."

"This resort is well-maintained. Opened in 2018, The Culvert lies on a stretch of secluded beach right next to one of Sarawak’s most iconic landmarks – Mount Santubong. Before make the booking, as usual I will read some reviews from previous guests. The negative reviews are came from guests who are staying in Standard room. Because the room is small where the toilet & bathroom are also inside the culvert. So u have to crawl on the bed to get to toilet. So, this is definitely not a good choice. So, I choose to stay in Suite room. Just top up a little bit more to get a good experience staying inside the culvert. They have 10 suite rooms. The best room with great view is King Suite. Its located right in front of the sunset deck. Make sure u stay in this room type to avoid disappointment. Toilet and bathroom are separated but en-suite. They have 2 small swimming pool, Clean beach, library and nice restaurant. Some of the facilities are not operated maybe because of the MCO. "

"This hotel is low density and has the most incredible setting with views of the mountain, mangroves, beaches and Bako national park. Spacious, luxurious rooms with balcony. Loads of space for 4 people in our room with a huge bathroom (corner suite) The kids loved playing in both swimming pools. They provided inflatables for the kids and have a large array of board and card games available for them to play. The chef made individual meals to order for the children for breakfast, lunch and dinner each day - best macaroni cheese in Malaysia! Both pools are lovely. Cove 55 is extremely clean, impeccably decorated and the staff try so hard to personalise your stay. I highly recommend Cove 55 for families or couples wanting to stay somewhere friendly and high quality from which to easily explore Santubong mountain (15 mins), the Cultural village (10 mins) , Bako national park (40 mins) and the Kuching wetland boat rides to see dolphins, proboscis monkeys, fire flies and crocs"

"We were so excited to stay in the treehouse, and this didn't disappoint! What an amazing setting. The beaches are sandy and swimmable, though the water was really murky when we were there. The pool is unique (though a bit treacherous with a 5 year old that likes to jump in). We loved this unique spot. Stayed 2 nights in a treehouse with our 5 and 7 year olds and they absolutely adored it. We saw silver leaf monkeys, macaques and a proboscis monkey on site. And there was a bonfire on saturday night. You have to walk to the convenience store at Damai center to get a beer--but it's only a 10 minute walk there. Sarawak Cultural Center was interesting and great for the kids. We also did the waterfall hike, but it's a 90 minute hike within the resort and looked to be a bit much for our kids. We did the trailhead within Mt Santubong National Park, right up the road, which gets you to the same waterfall. That is billed as 20 minutes, but still took us 45 minutes."
