"We stayed at this hotel for one whole week, to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely lovely experience! The reader must bear in mind that this area (Lake District, UK) is a top tourist destination, so quality lodgings don't come cheap. But, for the money, you will get an absolutely top quality experience at this hotel. The service is just perfect. The very well-trained staff was friendly and welcoming without ever being overbearing. The hotel was lovely, the room huge and beautiful, and the food heavenly. I just can't say enough about it!"

"Brilliant. Really cannot fault the stay. Staff really friendly helpful. Lots of nice little touches such as the woodland walk with wellies provided, staff advised on places to go and walks they would recommend. Restaurant food excellent- the best steak I've ever had (and I do eat out alot!). We used the spa/leisure facilities at the low wood hotel on the morning we checked out which was a lovely end to the weekend with the outdoor hot tub and it was quiet enough that we had the pool to ourselves! Will be recommending the wild boar to friends and family. "
