“Would stay again ”
To start, my husband and I don’t spend much time at our resort/hotel room ever. We aren’t “pool people” or anything like that. We are just looking for a place to crash in between our theme park time. I often cringe at the “resort” prices for a place I know I’m just sleeping in. This hotel gave us exactly what we needed. Reasonable price and we didn’t feel like we were paying for “bells and whistles” we weren’t going to use. We booked the smallest room and it was small. But it had everything we needed. Bed, table for our stuff, shower, sink, tv, mini fridge and microwave. Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean. The area is a bit dodgy. Once you step out of the parking area of the hotel, there’s clearly people who live on the streets nearby and trash on the sidewalks and bus stop. We made the decision to only walk to and from when it was light out and that worked well for us. Speaking of walking, the walk to universal studios is totally do-able! It’s about 8 minutes to the tram that will take you up the hill. If you choose to walk the hill, know that it is a doozy, but was also do-able for us as we walk a lot and are in fairly good shape. About another 7 minutes or so up the hill to the park. It’s nothing fancy, but it was perfect for us!
