Palermo hotels & places to stay

Hotel was great, huge comfortable bed, breakfast included eggs and fresh fruit. The parking situation needs to be improved. We were directed to park in the car park next door. Normally in Buenos Aires, they take your keys and park the car for you. Not here. We were told there were reserved spaces for Dazzler guests on the ground floor and on the 3rd basement. They were all taken. After driving round 4 levels of parking, after a long journey, I gave up and the staff freed up a space by the entrance, saying that they'd been watching us on the cameras and that there were spaces. There are any number of car parks in Palermo, the Dazzler should use a different one. On another note, Agoda needs to make it clear that VAT is not included in the stated price, and charge VAT when charging the guests's card. It's a bit of a shock to have paid $100 and then have to pay a further $20 on arrival, after driving round a parking garage for 20 minutes. Of course, none of this is Dazzler's fault.

My friends and I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. Upon arrival, the excellent service which extended throughout the entire stay was on offer. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable (their beds are the kind where you'll wake up wanting to spend more time in) with nice boutique hotel decor. Location is fantastic (in the Palermo area) where restaurants / bars and shops are within walking distance. The highlight of our stay is definitely the exceptional staff at front desk who double up like your personal concierge (giving recommendations on things to do, booking tours, making dinner reservations, etc.) all with smiles and warmth. Breakfast is delicious, a good spread with eggs prepared your way al a minute. It was my birthday on our last day and the breakfast team presented a cupcake for me and because we were rushing out, they packed it very nicely into a paper bag with "happy birthday" and a smiley face written on it! What a nice touch! There was even a birthday gift from reception (special thanks to the amazing Claudio and this team). A thoroughly happy stay, thanks Mine!

The staff was very nice and helpful. The apartment was clean. However, the apartment windows are on the ground floor directly next to the footpath. People walked past all night long yelling, laughing etc. Cars, rubbish trucks emptying the bins outside made it almost impossible to sleep. This noise continued all night, every night. The back door did not close. We reported this to be told not to worry about it, We did not feel very safe as at one stage a group of men were fighting in the street outside. All in all I can not recommend this place. It was a long way from the centre of the city, and you had to get taxis to go out. The apartment was expensive for what you got. There was only 2 tv channels in English, the bed was hard, and the couch was like a bed so not at all comfy to sit on. So I cannot honestly recommend this place.

I'm going to miss the Bulnes Eco Suites hotel. We stayed here several times in the last month as we traveled around Argentina. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and all the staff are friendly and efficient. The location is great, one block off of Av. Santa Fe in the Palermo district with good shopping, restaurant,and transit all nearby. The breakfast is served at the cafe nextdoor,and you will feel part of the real neighborhood that surrounds you. The small kitchenette in the room is very workable and just right for enjoying coffee, snacks etc on the balcony in each room. I wish I could pack the rooms , hotel, and staff in my suitcase and take them with me on my next trip!

When i got there, the staff told me that the reservation info they had didn't match my date on my voucher. They could not give me a room in the beginning. However, the staff was very helpful. She was calling and found out that it was a mistake from the central agent. She suggested that i might stay in another hostel and dealt with the issue with Agoda afterwards. I didn't want to pay extra money for another room and dealt with it after my trip. She tried to call Agoda for me but she had no international call connection in the meantime. While I tried to call Agoda myself for solution, she finally gave me a room which had not confirmed by another client. Well, I lost an hour to handle the issue, but the staff was very helpful to make me feel better.

I was fairly dubious when booking the room, as it was very cheap. When I arrived at the hotel, the friendly staff helped me with my luggage into a room that far exceeded my expectations. It's definately not 5 star material, but for the price you get a more than adequate lodging. There was even fruit on the table for me. The staff were always happy to help with any query I had. I probably wouldn't recommend staying in Palermo over the Recoleta/Retiro area, but if you decide to stay here, you can't go wrong with the Hotel Cristoforo Colombo.

Excellent experience, a hotel to include in BA's preferred list when choosing Palermo neighborhood. It's great and centered location together with the quiet ambiance that you get to feel once inside this old Spanish ex convent, made our stay very pleasant and relaxing. The staff very professional and discrete, always ready to help and smile. Excellent breakfast with homemade foods. Did not find it noisy at all as we had read on other reviews.

we stayed in rugantino for one week and came recommended. we had a nice room (no. 7) and really enjoyed our stay. the staff was extraordinarily friendly and helpful and really made the difference during our stay. i guess there are many boutique hotels in palermo, but i doubt with such staff. they helped us with recommendations on sightseeing, dining tips and even arranged copa america tickets including transport to la plata. it also made up for the fact that it does get noisy from time to time (especially on weekends). especially on our last night saturday, we heard the music from the neighboring bar until the late morning. the breakfast room is almost like a living room and the breakfast is small, but good.

Sissi Haz has clean rooms on the first and second floor (only narrow stairs, no elevator, so not ideal choice for those with lots of luggage) of the blue German-styled building. But the location can be a serious issue for travellers. Although a hip neighbourhood with lots of shops and restaurants, Palermo is spread out, meaning fewer crowds than Recoleta or Microcentro. This could be an urban oasis for some but for anyone wishing to walk around with a fancy camera, this is definitely not the place. The front door is locked 24/7 which means that every time one needs to get in or get out, the reception needs to open the door for you, a tight security measure indicative of the increase in crime in Buenos Aires.

Hotel was near great restaurants - pizza and vegetarian (flor del dia) ice cream places , parks and zoo and laundry place. I liked the view and the room was small but ok. There was a terrace but it is winter now- pool was small but nice and sauna worked well. The breakfast buffet was average at best- Coffee was Terrible ¡¡¡ Fortunately you could pay for a better coffee but it was expensive , maybe 4 dollars ¡ We had a good stay at this hotel and the price was pretty good, disregarding the coffee which was really miserable¡ Also the walls were a tad thin and we had loud neighbors. Oh and the food at the restaurant in the hotel was very good- shame about the coffee.

We had two stays here, 5 days and 6 days between trips to other parts of South America. Brilliant hotel, stylish, quirky and artistic. The staff are very helpful, multilingual, and were great for help with bookings and information on day trips out. At first we were not sure about the position at that end of Bonpland as this is really a residential street, but after a day or two we fell in love with the area, just watching daily life go by. Local shopkeepers were great, an easy daytime walk over the railway line into Palermo Soho where the action is, but use a taxi at night...the area is safe to walk anytime but the couple of streets near the railway tracks are really dodgy at night, and several locals suggested we do not walk there. We are very regular travellers and I am often away 6 months of the year for work, and this hotel will stick in my mind as one of the best I have used in recent years.If you have the money, get a Junior Suite...we had room 41 and the jacuzzi (and a bottle from the supermarket a few doors down) was great after a hard days walking around the streets of BA. Friendliest and most helpful staff I have encountered for years...Breakfast was good for Argentina as well, more than the usual cafe and medialunas, they do their home set yoghurt, fresh orange juice and great omelettes. we stayed at the fierro for two nights in april. a s we arrived, the concierge ordered a table for us at the superb hernan giponni restaurant, which is inside the hotel. a very nice room offering all the amenities one can have in a hotel: 32''lcd tv, ipod dock, nespresso (each capsule for less than us$2), free wifi, good bathroom, king bed... the breakfast is a must. palermo is the place to stay in buenos aires: chic boutiques, nice restaurants....
