Good budget hotel”
The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. It was a little warm in our room but the windows open so could cool it down. Breakfast was adequate for the price per night. Not too far out of Birmingham or to the NEC. If you want cheap, satisfactory accommodation then stay here.

Advice for other potential guests”
I want to warn other potential paying guests inform that The Prince Hotel located in Birmingham; should not be advertised as a ‘Hotel’ for the following reasons... - The ‘Hotel’ is a ‘live in home’ for people and families that are waiting to get housed by the council/housing association. - As a paying customer who comes to Birmingham to work at the weekends I have been kept awake day and night by crying children and noisy people that are staying there (who are not paying customers might I add!) - I complained about this on a number of occasions and especially after one of the mothers had the cheek to have a go at me for asking her to keep the noise of her child down; whilst I was trying to sleep! And I was told that if I didn’t like it maybe I should find somewhere else to stay where else to stay! This ‘Hotel’ is more like a live in crèche/home to people that don’t work create noise and upset to paying guests like myself! If you want a rested stay. Stay elsewhere!

Budget hotel with good breakfast ”
Reception staff were friendly and the room was tidied each day, with fresh towels provided. Shower was hot, although not the best pressure I've ever had. The room was clean overall and breakfast adequate with offer of cereals, toast, and boiled eggs. The main road nearby could be heard from our room, which was next to the Tv/breakfast room. With ear plugs this was fine.

Only Stayed one night but made to feel very welcome”
Stayed on a Snowy March Saturday and owner brought up an extra heater. Didn't try breakfast but made aware of times by very friendly owner. It is abit of a walk from centre but this did not bother me. Very good value for money and served both families and a solo traveller like myslf

Very nice staff, attentive to guest’s needs. Breakfast is exactly what you need, if you are not picky. A little bit far from city center. But a pleasant experiece, anyway!

Manager and Staff LIED to me!”
when booking online was offered an option for a larger bed, which I chose, and hotel agreed. when I arrived at the hotel, I was given a room with a small bed. When I asked the staff why this was told this would be an extra £15! this was a FREE option on the booking form. The room that I was give was cold and drafty even with the heater. I requested another room, and was told that the manager would need to be asked. I was then told that the free room has jusr been booked online. I enquired to find out that there was a spare room all night, which I could have been moved to. Because of the draft in the room, I only managed 2-3 hours of sleep! VERY DISAPPOINTED and ANNOYED that I was LIED to!!! Do NOT Reccomend.

Moved to another hotel nearby”
According to the owner there was a problem with the room, so he drove me to the Belmont hotel nearby, where I got 'upgraded' to an in room bathroom.
