Understated luxury with friendly and genuine service”
The hotel is beautiful and European cool. The decoration is well thought after and fantastic, and will find detail after detail to delight you. Compared with North America the rooms are smaller and the cosy setting with small corridors and steps would be unusual for North American hotels. The only thing that I missed in the room was electronic outlets to be able use the hairdryer and kettle but with little bit organizing it worked. The food at breakfast was fantastic; it was done with easiness and they were able to cater for my daughter's celiac disease and my sister's food alergies without compromising the taste nor the presentation. We had one dinner as well and it was absolutely lovely. I would stay in this hotel again and I would recommend this hotel to even to my most demanding friends. Well done Ladies and Gentlemen of Pulitzer Amsterdam!

What a Gem!”
This was our first visit to Amsterdam and certainly will not be our last. The Pulitzer was a brilliant find and will be our first choice for accommodation when we next visit - a beautiful boutique hotel with the facilities of a much larger venue. The location within the 9 streets was perfect. The staff were lovely and very friendly - great ambassadors for Amsterdam and the Pulitzer.

Not really any cons. We had a fabulous stay at the Pulitzer whilst visiting our daughter during her year abroad. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The room whilst not generous in size was impeccably presented and perfect for a city weekend break. We didn’t have children with us but children do appear to be well catered for and welcomed. The Pulitzer is in a lovely location and within easy walking distance of all tourist attractions e.g. museums / Dam Square / 9 streets. For all other areas the tram is brilliant for getting around.

perfect hotel for visiting Amsterdam”
Location is key and this hotel was very well situated around Nine Streets but walkable to all central Amsterdam and out to Vondelpark and De Hallen. The staff were attentive and helpful, the bar was bustling and the outdoor areas a lovely retreat. The rooms and hotel as a whole were well decorated with a luxurious feel. Would highly recommend and stay again.

Wow! What a great place to stay in Amsterdam. From the location, to entrance full of pots of flowers, to the gracious staff, beautiful rooms with accoutrements, to the dining area and bar, I cannot say enough nice things. But, truly, the staff was so helpful and kind, I cannot say enough nice things about them. They made my stay so wonderful!

Great hotel with a great location”
This is a very nice and romantic hotel in Amsterdam. The location at the canal is wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff was very friendly. That was a general thing for the city, people were friendly. They could improve the vegetarian/vegan alternatives on all their menus.

Wonderfully decorated hotel at the center ”
We enjoyed staying at the Pulitzer. The hotel is right at the center of the shopping on a quiet canal. The hotel is made up of 25 canal houses, modern interiors, comfortable rooms with a nice bathroom. The interiors are tastefully decorated. We enjoyed drinks at the bar and the breakfast as well

The Pulitzer is a beautiful and charming. The halls twist and turn, up and down little sets of stairs and greenhouse halls-all to connect the numerous canal houses that make up this sweet place. At the center is a lovely set of courtyards and gardens. Concierges were extremely helpful. Location was wonderful for exploring the city.

An amazing stay”
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. My husband and I travel often, and I am always concerned with staying in small, boutique hotels that promote themselves as "luxury." But I believe this hotel is the perfect balance between luxury and character. Because the rooms are located in canal houses, it is much more intimate and special than a commercialized property. Highly recommend!

This hotel was very nice. I don't have anything bad to say about it. It was really expensive though. Normally I don't pay this kind of money for a hotel. There wasn't much differentiating it from a less expensive hotel except for the fact that the hotel's design is unique, historic, and very atmospheric. But you could go to the restaurant of the hotel or just walk around the grounds and get the same feeling. Wifi signal was excellent throughout the hotel. Included breakfast was plentiful and delicious. They have an art gallery at the hotel that was quite interesting as well. This would be a cool hotel to hold a function at too.

Great for couples ”
My wife and I stayed here for a few days before heading on to Spain. The hotel facilities were fantastic, starting with a cafe where we got a snack while our room was being prepared. The location was perfect for our needs, near the Anne Frank museum and easy access to the art museums. The staff was helpful and the concierge especially so. When we return, our plan is to stay here again.

Worst housekeeping. Great hotel. ”
Housekeeping never removed any room service from previous days. Even an empty ice cream box from 1st day. And 2 dirty glasses used to drink milk, UNTILL MY CHECK OUT WHICH WAS 3 DAYS LATER. Worn out towels But probably one of the nicest hotels, and great location. Aside from housekeeping.
