“Solo overnight experience ”
I stayed here as the hotel overlooks the Isle of Man ferry terminal that I was using the next morning. It's about a 15 minute walk into city centre therefore. It scores very highly for it's very modern public areas but I found the rooms slightly dated. A fridge would not be out of place in a 4 star property I would have thought. No plug sockets beside the bed is also a sign the rooms are not as modern as the look of the hotel itself. Beds are super comfy though and spotlessly clean, I was pleased to find lots of tea and coffee provided with more sugar milks etc than most places do. One thing that I noted though - the point on the floor where the carpet meets wood had a bit of a sharp ledge to it which one could trip on or stub toes on route to the bathroom during the night, potentially a health and safety issue there but otherwise a very decent experience which I would repeat if I needed to be outside of the immediate city centre next time.
