Where to stay in Gyeongsangbuk
Gyeongsangbuk hotels & accommodations

We stayed here for three nights during the time of the Cherry blossom, its the best place to stay at this time of the year as the Lake is the main area to see the blossom. The hotel is a bit dated, the rooms are nicely finished and fine but the pool area was concrete and needs renovating. Was disappointed that the concierge couldnt recommmend an English tour guide bu...

We were not sure in the beginning if it's the right choice to stay in Gyeonju but it turned out to actually to be the best. We also check other hotels during our stay, including Hilton, but Hyunday somehow looked better. We felt that many other hotels in the area were actually a bit sub-standard and too much targeted to local tastes (in food, decoration, etc.). If y...

the bus from singyeongju station goes straight to the hotel, just make sure you get on the one that goes to bomun lake resort (i think it was number 700). we ordered room service and they messed up our order a lot so we almost got charged twice for the food we ordered, which was difficult to explain in basic english, but it got sorted out eventually. it was pretty ea...

Overall, the Kensington is a nice hotel for the price. It is a bit far from most of the major tourist spots, but is in a pretty, scenic area. There were several restaurants, a cafe, and a Family Mart at the hotel which was very convenient. The hotel staff is great! They are very courteous and helpful. The rooms are large and clean. Our one big complaint was that the he...

Good location in city. Just few minutes to go all famous tour attractions by driving. The room was clean and cozy. Not really huge but enough to stay for a couple. One single size bed with one double size bed in the Skyview room. All hotel staffs were friendly. Nice jacuzzi. Recommended hotel.

Location is excellent. within waking distance from express bus terminal and also intercity bus terminal. Room is clean, nice, but has thin wall, so we can hear if someone was walking and talking loud outside. But fortunately, during our stay, there was only a few guest. the hotel staff is so helpful with giving information and quite good with english. There are lockers...

Located just of main road opposite Hilton Hotel. A few restaurants in the area, but if you walk towards the waterwheel, you will find more. Centrally located for touring Gyeongju. Nice buffet breakfast. Rooms and bathroom were clean/tidy and recently remodeled(maybe). Try and book a room at front of hotel as rear looks into trees and tend to get a to more bugs.

I'm sad that I was only staying in this hotel for the night. Despite the price it was very impressive! Like most business hotels some stuff isn't free, but it wasn't things I would have used anyway (beers and other mini-fridge things are down the street). I felt so royal being there that I will stay there again if I have the chance!

This hotel had favorable reviews so I followed those before me and booked a room for my overnight trip for Silla tomb sightseeing. So glad I did. Everything about the stay was excellent including the usuals - location, cleanliness, staff, and price. The icing on the cake was the hotel 'sauna', included in the price of the room. In Korea, 'sauna' means a public-styl...

This place is very well maintained and clean. Just a simple overnight stay in a clean hanok and also close to Gyeong Ju National Park. Not much amenities but has everything you need for the price. Value for the $ is excellent! I am a picky 5-star hotel traveller but this place was quite clean and satisfactory.

My friend and I stayed two nights here and we absolutely loved it. It is off of the major road from both the train station and the bus station. Although the owner doesn't speak much English, we didn't need to communicate much other than showing our booking number. We had the best room (I wonder if we were upgraded) with an additional 'tea room'. Each room has their own...

The sugar hotel was a highlight of our trip to Sth Korea, every thing about this hotel was excellent ,when we had trouble booking the train to Soeul the owner booked the tickets for us on his card(we reimbursed him)there is a free shuttle in a private car one way to the station.the room was large with heaps of complimentary products, extra large tv ,jacuzzi ,near to many...

The room was very comfortable. If you wish to seek advice in English ensure you do this during the day as the night staff had very limited English. Breakfast adequate but no fried egg or fruit available although signs in hotel state they are.

We arrives late at night around 11pm and we just wanted to check in fast and rest for we have drove the whole but the reception guy couldn't let us in. he said my booking was not confirm so I gave him my booking receipt and the contact details of Agoda Korea office (I booked at agoda.com. I try to explain him that all my previous days booking from the same site sent me...

포스코 정문에 위치함. 가격대비 호텔상태는 최고임.조식은 간단하지만 하나같이 맛있었음. 주인이 직접 프론트 보는데 너무나 센스있고 친절한 호텔리어임. 강추! 강추! This is the one of the best hotel comparing with price and service quality. Room was clean and breakfast so so good. The owner of hotel is working in the front desk who is very kind and service-oriented gentleman. I strongly recommend this hotel

The Blueboat Hostel in Gyeongju is a great hostel! The location is a 5 minute walk from the Korail train station and across the street from bicycle rentals. The rooms are very clean and very nice! Bathrooms are well equipped and segmented so you are not in anyone's way. The kitchen/lounge area is always clean and organized. One of the better breakfasts I've had at...

This is the best hotel for the money in Pohang. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean, and the whole place feels like a boutique hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and speaks English - they were able to assist with everything from the internet to restaurant recommendations. They have a nice breakfast spread in the morning too. I've stayed in almost every hotel i...

It was a pleasant locality. The climate was nice during June & July. The location of hotel was in an accessible distance from all the tourist spots nearby. Vegetarians will find it difficult in Gyeongju but still you can manage with global food chains like Domino's, Burger King and Starbucks nearby this hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. They prov...
Cheap places to stay in Gyeongsangbuk

Best hostel I have ever stayed in. The main reason is the super cute doggo that roams around looking for pets from the guests. Also, the location is rather close to the express and Intercity bus terminal which is good. Lastly, the host was super friendly and helpful. She even let me use her hostel bikes for free which would usually cost 8000 won for a day if rented fro...

The hotel is near train station but pay attention to map, it is 1 block off main road and easy to miss. The hotel's owner was not social and sometimes absent but this didn't present any problems. Hotel has 2 large kitchens/socializing areas so they are good for those that like to cook while traveling (which I did here). Breakfast is included (eggs and toast). Room is n...

We chosen the room on the 1st floor with floor heating system in order to have fun with the traditional living style of Koreans. Although the floor heating system is not as traditional as the old age, this is the first time I very much enjoy such the heating mechanism and do not want to leave out of the room under the sharp weather (555~). The room is neither whopper n...

This hostel is just a few minutes walk away from Gyeongju Train Station, so it is really convenient. My friends and I booked one entire 4-bed room, and it was very clean. Each room has a private bathroom, which was also very clean. There was enough space for all of our belongings although the room isn't that large. The hostel provides egg and toast breakfast in the lou...

This guest house is really great,me and my friend decided to stay there for 1 night. At first it was hard to find but in the end it was easy. When you alight at gyeongju station or by bus number 10 or 11. you will see Arituam then walk straight all the way(you will pass by the seondeok market)continue walking*on the pavement where you are look to your right, there is a...

The Korean house converted guesthouse is very homey feel. The owner is very friendly in the house. All room are equipped with bunk bed but it is OK. The owner would not share your room if you book double room with only 2 guests. Simple breakfast provided at the house kitchen and dining area. You can have breakfast with house owner and have a nice chat. Please follow GP...

I had an amazing time here. 41st is down the road and across the bridge from Gyeongju Train Station, or opposite Silla Middle School. You can access it easily with city buses or a taxi. They're mainly a Backpackers Hostel, but I do think they may have private rooms as well. The beds are really great, and you get a locker with a key. The central lounge area is always ...

The location is quite central. An easy 10 min walk to the train station and bus stop. Very close to Daereungwon and Joongang market. But, the best part is the service at this guesthouse! The couple is so lovely and accommodating. Also they offer a beautiful free breakfast. The price is very competitive and reasonable. I will definitely visit soon with my family. 정말 잘...

If you are looking for a place like home, this is it! It is in downtown Gyeonju, about 15 minutes from the bus terminal. It is an old "house" where you go back. We (me, 13 yrs old and 7 yrs old) stayed in the friends-room comfortably. Toilets and shower rooms are in next buildings, so you may feel inconvenient in winter. Good restaurants are in 5 minutes walk. I...

I think that was the Best hostel i have ever been in. Was very clean, new, cosy, bathroom with two cabins. There was even a special place to listen vinyl music in the café. Location is close to the bus terminal, but far from the center of andong, for me this Location was a plus.

My friend and I visited Dreamer Guesthouse for Lunar New year and stayed for two nights. The staff were very welcoming, kind and helpful. They spoke good English and invited us to socialise with them and the other guests on both nights. We put in 5,000won and made dok(rice cake soup), drank beer and soju, and played the Yunnori board game, which are traditional things ...

I really liked Modorine because it's relaxed and not complicated. I arrived during Chuseok so CHanseok hasn't been around personally. But all was well arranged to welcome me. In the hostel there's even kind of a family atmosphere. Having breakfast with homemade bread and jam together is great. We even cooked dinner together.

One of the best hostels. Very strategic location: within 200 meters from Gyeongju Express Bus and Inter-city Bus Terminals, walking distance from Gyeongju Historic Areas (Ancient Tombs, Anapji Pond, and Gyeongju National Museum), and very near the bus stations to Bulguksa Temple or to Yangdong Village, or even to the train stations. The room was very clean, beds and ...

Arrived in Andong around 12nn at bus terminal. We found our way to Andong train terminal and the hotel was just a short distance away (about 5 mins walk) . Although check in time was at 3, we were thankful to have our room early for a quick wash up. A toiletry pack was given to us and we were pleasantly surprised that there were many amenities included in the pack (s...

Kanye and his mother are so nice. It's a little bit difficult to go to the house when we just arrive the high way bus station because we don't know which bus can get there. Actually there're many to take. Kanye also suggest nice food to us. He and his mother try their best for us to have a nice trip in Gyeongju. Love them and their lovely house!

This was the best accommodation deal encountered while I have spent my time in Korea. The price is very friendly to a hotel with this level of service. And it is placed at the main "promenade" center in Andong, a few minutes walk from the Train Station, Tourist Information, main local bus departure point to the attractions. Maybe the availability of a breakfast service...

Convenient hostel. Market, foods and drink area are nearby, and the bus stops to all around Andong are also close to the hostel. The room we stayed were a little bit small but well equipped, there were kitchen sink, electronic oven and laundry machine. The staff was very friendly and kindness. Good accommodation for budget travelers.

This is an hostel which has an ambition of becoming a hotel! I like it very much! It's a new hostel. Everything is new and clean. The room is well-equipped and nice-furnished! The bed sheet and comforter are super clean! The heating system is powerful, more than warm enough. I felt warm and comfortable in winter nights. There is a tea bag, an instant coffee bag and a b...

Good location near the railway station, bus stops to major attractions and 'food street' are the best features of this 'semi-Love' hotel. Not as slightly tacky as many hotels which are clearly Love hotels (no half curtains in the entrance to hide identity) and staff who after being slightly surprised by a foreigner staying were kind and helpful. Rooms at back are quiet...

The motel is provately owned. Staff was a middle age couple-was very friendly and helpful- allowas early checkin and late checkout, since they have spare rooms. bt they dont speak Korean. However, we used Google translate to communicate. Place is love motel, but entrance is at main road, so its safe. It is quite well lit considering it is a love motel. Just be used to...

A beautiful and fairly quiet setting amid other luxury and highrise hotels and condo complexes on Pomun Lake, about 10-15 minutes by car from downtown Gyeongju and about 15-20 minutes from the famous Bulgooksa temple.
