“Cheap but Nice and Neat Hotel along Chao Phraya River”
We booked this hotel because it is located along Chao Phraya River, because we first plan to take a Dinner Cruise but we didn’t push thru because we had a limited time, and the cruise is a bit expensive. Instead, we took the Hop On Hop Off River Cruise which is way cheaper. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel because they have a very nice facility. They have a big lobby with chairs. Their staffs are very attentive and helpful. We arrived earlier at the hotel, and we just left our luggage since we must take our tour at 8AM. It was already past 5PM when we checked-in after we finished our tour. The rooms they provided were large twin room with a nice view of the river. Even though the room and facilities inside it looks old, it is very nice and clean since we got it for a cheap price only with discounts. The bed is just ok, not so soft but not so hard with two pillows. They provide us free bottle of water, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel but no free coffee. The TV has local channels only, not a smart TV. The shower has hot water, and the water temperature is just fine. Since we availed of the breakfast, they provided us a decent buffet breakfast since there was an on-going conference that day and the hotel restaurant is full-packed. The only downside of this hotel is the location because it is in a place with a small alley so going there often took us time because of traffic and it is a bit far from major shopping malls and attraction. We always took a cab or Grab just to go to the shopping malls and major attraction as there are no train stations nearby. Though there is a 7-11 store nearby which is around 5-mins walk from the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the hotel.

“Accommodation and staff service”
I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. The accommodation was okay, but the hotel is quite old. I stayed on the 7th floor because I requested it from the hotel. The condition of the room was fine, except on the first day, when I went to the room, I noticed it was quite old. The key card slot malfunctioned; after inserting the card, the lights went out about 2-3 times, but after that, it was okay. The staff provided good service, but the receptionists should inform customers a bit about what is available on each floor or where the breakfast room is, not just explain how to go to the room. In the morning, the cleaning staff did a great job, and I must commend them. The rooms should be updated to look newer because I noticed the walls starting to deteriorate and peel. It felt like the room hadn't been used in a long time; the first time I turned on the bathtub water, it was red but then the water became clear and usable. I want the staff to clearly inform customers about what is where. Also, the breakfast coupon distribution to customers should be improved, as the staff at the counter spoke softly and hurriedly asked me to sign for the breakfast coupon without actually providing it. I sat in the lobby for a long time without being notified until I went to my room and then received a call to go down and collect the coupon. It should have been communicated from the beginning or the responsibility should not be placed on the customers. Please make improvements in this area. Overall, it was okay to some extent, but it would be much better if these issues were addressed. Thank you.

“Very good hospitality ”
Staffs are very helpful and giving guidance without hesitation... Maintenance came after a call within 5 minutes.... Phone calls were treated by reception with so helpful mind. Swimming pool were awesome just needs more attention on maintenance n cleanliness. The staff in the entrance guided me on how and where to get things we needed. Whoever feels their customer service is bad, please don't go as u r not lucky to be treated well 😂🤣

“Away from the hustle.”
The Riverside is great hotel with great facilities but like most budget hotels in Thailand it has seen better times and in need of a renovation. My room had plenty of room with a comfortable bed and a good hot shower. Some of the power points needed servicing and the house keeping did a good job of keeping the room tidy. It's a good spot if you're looking for a quieter area this could be it. The walk to the BTS was a little long for me but found the yellow ferry got me where I wanted to go. At night there is plenty of street food vendors so you won't go hungry. Would stay here again? Yes.

“Bad Location ”
The reason why we gave it a lower rating for value for money, was location of the hotel and everywhere that we wanted to go in excursions were always on the opposite side of the river, so the taxis ended up costing us a lot of money and more so, an hour to an hour and a half and busy traffic every time you want to go somewhere. It was nice. It had the restaurant downstairs with room service. Staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean. I think back in the 70s this was a higher quality hotel. It is a bit dated now. Not recommended for tourists looking to travel around the city.
