Where to stay in San Nicolas
San Nicolas hotels & accommodations

have previously stayed at esplendor hotel and choose it for its location on sanmartin, close to florida and shopping areas. decor is chic, modern with some quirky touches. staff are extremely helpful. good restaurants are within the vicinity,i will stay there again.

The hotel is very clean, modern and spacious and in a excellent location. The building itself is beautiful and some of the original features have been maintained, such as the pretty tiling in the bar area. The restaurant is on the lower ground floor, where an excellent buffet breakfast is served; at other times an a la carte menu is offered, and the restaurant is noted...

The only problem we experienced was some sort of misunderstanding between the hotel and Agoda, so that our booking was nor recognised at fisrt; however, we were given a room without delay, while trying to find out was was wrong: luckily, everything was solved after a while and our booking (and prepayment!) was finally found. If this turns out to be just an occasional ...

The hotel is very well located near the main shopping street (Florida). The rooms are very quiet and the size is a bit small, but the prices are correct. Everything is clean. The breakfast is good(small buffet) and sometimes you have to wait for a table. The staff is helpfull. You can leave you luggage in the reception after your room check-out. It has been our 2n tim...

its probably was 4* hotel once upon a time,-- mid 60s-70s.. since then it was complete rattled, very poor maintenance of place, laundry was not work for a week- just close. furniture and bath has not been change since day one. aircons doent work well (change two rooms)-- with full gear still keep room at 30C (and it was not extreme hot weather). everything look old ...

We picked this hotel based on other reviews and they were quite accurate; the location is good - walking distance from downtown attractions; breakfast has a great variety and the complimentary wifi is handy - although sometimes it goes off....was told best to stay at close to 2nd or 7th floor for best access; staff was friendly and speak English

Our flight to Buenos Aires was delayed. The front desk folks helped us to contact the provider for our evening tango show, since we were late for our pickup. We were able to connect & save out booking. They also provided an extension cord with adapter plugs so one of our group could operate her CPAP. Since a fire truck was blocking the street as we were leaving, t...

i had very big difficulties with the blockage of my visa card by my bank (it was done outomaticaly for my security as soon as i live my country). the staf of the hotel was very kind. they helped me by making a lot of calls for me, so the problem was sorted out and i could pay my bills. i,m very, very thankful. there is one very bright person on the reception - he ...

The hotel is our favorite, because of the location and helpful staff. I am not sure if it was because of the fact that they gave Agoda a block of the worst rooms in the hotel or what, but we got two rooms on the 11th floor. We were the only two rooms booked on the 11th floor because they were still remodeling the rest of them. We heard saws and hammers from 7 am onward...

Great Location and fantastic price. The hotel is smack in the middle of the action and very unbeatable in terms of price. The downside (and this was no deal breaker for me but might be for more demanding travelers): 1. Bathrooms are small and the drain smells. Simple solution. Cover with bath mat. 2. Traffic noise is perceptible as are conversations whenev...

Very nice room, albeit a little tired in places, and a great location. A great choice of welcome drinks was provided on arrival. However we booked this hotel hoping to use the swimming pool as when we were there it was very sunny and in the late 20s. However the pool is ONLY OPEN DECEMBER TO MARCH. This is a detail we missed when reviewing the Agoda description. Howev...

We really enjoyed staying is this nice and fine design hotel. We are positive about the hotel and would definitly recommend it to others. If being critical we where very disapointed the pool was closed (25degree celcius spring weather). This was not mentioned at booking and not mentioned in the guest information book. When opened is beautifull on the roof with stylisch...

Great hotel - clean, comfortable and friendly. Excellent location close to buses, metro, supermarket and easy walking distance to Florida/La Valle. Rooms have fridge, hob, kettle and sink ( dishwasher!! ). The aircon was not very efficient but we had a fan as well which we prefer anyway. We had a superior room which was at the back and quiet. Breakfast was plentif...

This well-known boutique hotel is centrally located in downtown Buenos Aires, the front desk staff are very helpful(just ask for a map of the city, which shows the location of the hotel). The Continental breakfast is reasonable, although choice is limited, and the free internet provided access to email-which was very useful as international telephone calls are expensive in...
Cheap places to stay in San Nicolas

Good - Location was excellent - within easy walking distance to attractions like Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, San Telmo Market, etc. Bad -The room is totally unlike what the site picture shows. It is run down, stains everywhere. The faucet could not be closed completely. The room was badly in need of a new paint job. At least there was hot water but Wi-Fi was poor and...

Location was reasonable and i liked lounge area. Staff were friendly and helpful tho some spoke no English at all, meaning communication not always easy. Beds terribly uncomfortable - like bricks. Bathroom not so clean. Staircase awkward to walk up and lift seldom operates which isnt great for luggage. Hot water took forever to work. Wouldn't recommend. But nice staff!...

I revsited it a couple of It is an old one but a good budget hotel where you pay a little more ( with shared bathroom) for a room of your own by paying a little more. It is good for those who ask for privacy and security. The first vsit was not too good as they gave me the last room on the roof top. The room did not have good security because the window could not be ...

The only good point about this hotel is the location, it is right in the centre of the city. However, although the bed was clean and comfortable, the rest left a lot to be desired. It had a communal fridge for guests to store perishable items in. I used it and my items were stolen. After remonstrating with the owner, who lives in room 1, he replaced them.

The hostel has strict security measures; one needs to press a bell to be let in through two doors; you could take a very old lift or walk high staircases to reach the reception; then you take a lift for 2nd and third and 4th floor for your room. The lift is a museum piece and is worth your examination. Brakfast is good for offering all kinds of fruits and fruit juices. ...

One major problem with the place: elevators beep every time they pass a floor. The sound carries between the floors and throughout the building. It is clearly audible also in the rooms. In the morning the beeping is almost constant. Had to use earplugs to sleep. Great location, nice and helpful staff.

I stayed Buenos Aires for five days. The location is great. It is close to the red and blue lines transportation. Five blocks away is Plaza de la republica. The services are standard here with cheap price. I will say it better than the hostel if you do not want to interact with other travelers. Inside the room is not bad, it has a little meeting room and bed room. It i...

This hotel is probably the cheapest you'll find in the very central Congreso area. The staff did not reply to e-mails sent prior to arrival, but they were very friendly in person and spoke pretty good English. We were surprised that breakfast was not included, but at AR$80 extra it's not expensive. For a couple, the beds are rather small. We found the air conditioning ...
