Good value for the money, good vibes”
This is probably the third or fourth time I'm staying here, and it always met the expectations. The hostel is a bit far away from the typical Amsterdam action, and besides the vending machines, there wouldn't be any restaurants nearby post 10PM or so. This place is huge with plenty of socialising spaces, there is also a couple games at the ground floor. Breakfast is nice and plentiful. The "kitchen", which barely counts as one, is pretty small that fits only one person. There is a fridge and a microwave, but no cutlery (you'd need to buy single use plastic ones unless you got them yourself). This strikes me a bit odd because other hostels have and encourage to use the kitchen. This is not a party hostel and I am noticing an increasing number of families with young children (not that I'm against it). I'm saying this because you can expect the vibe you'd have in this otherwise party-ish baked city full of adult life.

Good value for money”
I have stayed here a few times over the years. If coming from Central Station, you will likely travel here by Coach or Tram, being a little further out from the centre. I feel this place offers good value for money, especially Monday to Friday. Weekends, it gets a little pricier as is the norm for all hotels. It has always been clean, and comfortable. The dorms are spacious and not cramped (have only stayed in a 4 bed dorm so can't comment on others). One slightly downside is you don't get a towel, so have to purchase one there or bring your own, normal for some hostels, but not all. Another upside is you do get a free & good breakfast here, bread cheese ham, toast, cereals, fruit juices, and a decent latte or cappuccino. Yeah, the Wow Hostel is very good actually.

One of the best hostel I've ever stayed”
I've stayed in this hostel for 3 nights, how amazing because i didn't know that my reservation included breakfast. This hostel is near from Sloterdijk Station about 15 minutes by walking and it was very easy to find this hostel. If I will back to Amsterdam, I wish I will stay in this hostel..

Awesome hostel”
This hostel is just incredible. Very unique and comfortable environment that you hardly find in other hostels. I love the little lamp in my bed. This hostel is just like a hotel. The view from the room is amazing. Comfortable beds as well. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Will definitely come back next time!

a worthwhile hostel”
I am a student come from Norway, I can say this hostel is the cheapest hostel i can find not far away from city center. If you bought a travel ticket( I bought 3-day travel ticket and it's color is blue), you can always come back to this hostel before 1 am. 12 people in a big room with one toilet and one bathroom but luckily there is no struggle moment for me. In a word, it is always a wise idea to choose this hostel if you have a tight budget :)

good stay in Wow hostel”
This is my three time to stay in WOW hostel, I stayed at mix 12 bed room, the space is good enough for 12 person . I still love their breakfast included Hum, cheese, lot of choice for hot drink., the bed is clean and they have 24 hours hot shower you can take. the location is ok for you arrive from the airport or Central station.

Comfort cozy but far away from tourist attraction”
It's a hostel, but surprisingly for one room (5 or 6 beds) there is a attached bathroom. Room is big. Breakfast was ok, but staff on duty in breakfast was rude. Far away from Amsterdam Central (bus 21 or tram takes about 15-20 min). Buy the 48 or 72 hours unlimited travel card. Nonetheless, it is value for money.

Cool hostel”
The hostel is quite cool and clean and huge. The breakfast is really nice. Its around 10 mnts walk to the nearest bus stop and metro station. We definitely enjoyed our stay. Recommendable!

Clean & Convenient”
Located near a tram and a train station. Pool table. Comfortable sofas in the lobby. High ceiling in the bedroom, the bed is larger than most hostels I've ever been to.

Moderate price, that's all”
It's worth no more or less than the price. You'd have a great stay unless you expect too much. The hostel is located quite distantly from the downtown. It took about 30-40 mins to get there. You should hire a bike or buy a transportation ticket. A bed was comfy, and beddings were clean. No amenity was in a room, so you should bring all stuffs you need like a towel, a dryer, etc. A breakfast was also normal, and the same menu was served everyday.

Value for money if travel alone&short”
1. Nice place and value for money compare to AMS other hotels. Good choice if alone and short stay. 2. Location is not super convenient but enough, less than 10min walk you may find super markets and Metro. 3. Staff is nice. Front desk allow me to extra stay after I quit. Suggest to make tag for people who put luggage temporary. 4. Simple kitchen at hall, can't eat/cook at room.

+ : Large room. Extra toilets in the corridor. Lift. There are some arts at some floors. Experimental garden, I liked it. Breakfast included but could be improved for this price (the coffee there is really disgusting, this is not coffee...), juices were disappointed too. Nice view from the top floor. - : Quite far to the city centre. You can rent a bike from the hostel but I think it was quite expensive (something like 18 € per day...). Expensive for what they offer.

Bed bugs!”
+ : excellent breakfast, the dish of the day served in large portion and great taste with reasonable price. The staffs there are generally helpful and friendly especially the ladies at the restaurant. - : bed bugs! my friend and I stayed at WOW for 3 nights in room 314 and both of us had multiple new bites overnight. It is still itchy and takes more than days to heal :( The keycards system also not functioning well, we had to activate it everyday otherwise will be locked either outside the room or toilet (separate). very frustrating experience The location wise is far from the city but luckily still easily accesible by bus 21 or tram 7, 14.

the hostel is big, located some distance from the city centre. The light in my shower room was malfunctioning, sometimes works after 5 min. I was bath in dark. Besides, you need to bring your own utensils as the hostel doesn't provide it, you need to pay for it.

Just one issue”
The hostel was mainly nice, but they should really either fix their wifi or stop claiming that they offer it. It took up to an hour to connect in the lobby, and was never possible to connect upstairs. When I spoke to the staff it was obvious this situation was very frustrating for them as well. And I can understand, telling 300 hostel guests there's nothing they can do about the wifi would get tiring. Still, an apology would have been nice!

I like that the beds are big and sturdy. The toilets are clean as well as the room. Breakfast are also good! You can leave your luggage for free. The only problem is that it is far from metro/tram station. You had to walk for 12-15 mins from the bus/tram station going to the hotel. But overall, we are satisfied customers!
