“Unforgettable Journey to the Grassland in the Mountains”

The hotel is located in the Fudi Hot Spring area, and you can get off at bus stop HO41 and walk for five minutes to reach it. This time, I stayed for two days with my child, with a stay including two meals. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the temperature was set before our arrival. The public areas were warm and cozy, featuring a typical Japanese style. During the day, drinks were provided, and we tried the hotel's own juice, plum wine, and sake, which were highly recommended. Dinner was abundant, and my child and I ate very well. The hotel has three hot spring areas, and the outdoor kettle bath and rock bath were particularly great. Next to the hot spring, there is a small stream gently flowing by, with a small waterfall, creating a stunning view. Finally, I would like to especially thank the young man from China, who is a Chinese-speaking staff member at the hotel. He was very nice and made communication very convenient. Overall, we will definitely come back; it was an unforgettable experience.

“An unforgettable experience in old Japan”

Our stay at this Ryokan was absolutely amazing! The entire experience truly felt like stepping back in time to old Japan. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive to every detail, making us feel completely cared for throughout our stay. The traditional clothes provided for the onsen and dinner were such a thoughtful touch — they added beautifully to the authentic atmosphere. The Kaiseki dinner was spectacular: every dish was delicious, artfully presented, and made us feel like we were experiencing a piece of Japanese culture and tradition. The outdoor onsen, overlooking the river, was incredibly relaxing — the perfect way to unwind and take in the peaceful surroundings. We would absolutely recommend this Ryokan to anyone looking for a genuine and unforgettable Japanese experience.

    “Beautiful mountain retreat”

We loved our stay at Yamazatonoiori Soene and are already looking forward to returning. The ryokan is serene and clean. The private onsens were wonderful, and the other onsens were empty each time I used them. The kaiseki meals were a highlight. The ryokan is accessible via public bus and there are 2 bus stops nearby. On departure, the staff kindly drove us to the bus stop. We had forgotten a bag, and they rushed back to make sure we had the bag before the bus departed. ありがとうございます!

“2 night stay in October ”

Can't recommend this ryokan enough. The staff was super accommodating, and their English was well enough there wasn't any confusion throughout our stay. My wife and I both have tattoos and were only able to use the private baths, but they were still spectacular. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with a lovely view of the mountains. Having stayed in October was like a lucid dream with most beautiful foliage. Would love to come back again for more time the next chance we can.

    “Great place. Just stunning. ”

We love our two days. And the snow made the last day even more amazing. For the owners a note (some more water stations at each Onsen would be great. But details …. I wood come back any time !!!
